The Linenhall library was the venue for the launch of a new anthology of Pádraic Fiacc's poetry, illustrated and compiled by artist Michael McKernon celebrating this extraordinary poet, now in his eighties. Fiacc is as major Irish poet who reacted to the 'Troubles' in an uncompromising but compassionate narrative style. The launch was accompanied by readings of Fiacc's poems by friends of the poet. A short film on the life and work of the Belfast icon was also shown. |
